AUSTIN, Texas (April 17, 2024) – Ashley Ingram continues to make history for the Texas Woman's basketball team.

On Tuesday, April 16, she became the first Pioneer in program history to be named to a College Sports Communicators (CSC) First Team Academic All-American.

All-time in program history, there have been three Pioneers named CSC, formerly CoSIDA, Academic All-Americans; however, they were all named second or third team honorees.

While becoming the first First Team Academic All-American, Ingram becomes the first TWU Academic All-America honoree since the 1999-2000 season.

According to the CSC, "Academic All-American is a title reserved for college student-athletes who perform at an elite level in their chosen sport and in the classroom. The all-time list of 40,000+ Academic All-Americans includes major sports stars and some of the world's most accomplished individuals in medicine, business, science and the arts. Established in 1952 and selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC), Academic All-America is the longest running and premier award for athletic and academic success across championship college sports at all NCAA levels, the NAIA, two-year colleges and Canadian institutions."

Ingram was named a 2024 CSC Academic All-District member and was then advanced to the All-America ballot by a committee. Once the All-America ballot was determined, CSC members voted for the All-America teams.

Along with being named an All-District winner, Ingram was also named an LSC All-Academic honoree.

Ingram currently holds a 3.874 grade point average and is majoring in Kinesiology – Pre-Occupational Therapy.
