COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (April 10, 2024) - For the first time in program history, three members of the Texas Woman's wrestling team were named
Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference First Team Academic All-Conference, shinning not only in the mat but also in the classroom.
Ten wrestlers from four institutions, Adams State, Chadron State, Colorado Mesa and TWU, make up the list of the RMAC First team Academic All-Conference.
Hannah Vos,
Poorna Babu and
Kylee Spearman were among the ten wrestlers who earned this award.
Wrestlers must had a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50 and above, have competed at least two consecutive semesters at their current active member institution and must use a season of competition in order to be considered for this award.
Vos, the sophomore from Roanoke, Texas, led the Pioneers with the highest grade point average of 3.89 while majoring in kinesiology and wrestling in the 155 weight class.
Babu and Spearman also competed in the 155 weight class. Babu holds a 3.55 GPA while majoring in biochemistry. Spearman, who majors in kinesiology, has a 3.63 cumulative GPA.
One wrestler from ASU, three from CSU and three from CMU made the rest of the awards recipients list.
