DENTON, Texas (Feb. 10, 2026) - The Texas Woman's wrestling team will host Carl Albert State on Wednesday at Kitty Magee Arena as the Pioneers celebrate Senior Night and close out the regular season.

The dual is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m.

Texas Woman's will honor nine seniors whose contributions have been instrumental in the growth and foundation of the wrestling program. As members of the program's core group, the senior class helped establish the culture, competitive standards and identity of Pioneer wrestling, leaving an impact both on and off the mat.

Throughout their careers, the seniors have provided leadership and consistency while helping guide the program through its developmental stages. Their influence extends beyond just match results, as they have set expectations and mentored younger teammates as the program continues to move forward.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • Tickets for the dual matches are available online.

  • All TWU athletic events follow a Clear Bag Policy.

  • No outside food or drinks are permitted.

  • Only certified service animals are allowed inside KMA.

  • Children under five do not require a ticket.

  • If you cannot make the dual, tune into the live stream for all the action!

A LOOK BACK

  • The Pioneers enter Wednesday's matchup following a 33-13 loss at Oklahoma State last weekend. After a stretch of decision and technical fall losses early in the dual, Samaria Barnett provided a late spark with a dominant 10-0 technical fall victory over her Cowgirl opponent, adding four points to the TWU score.

  • Kitana Leofatato followed with a technical fall win in the heavyweight class to close out the scoring for the Pioneers, becoming one of two TWU wrestlers to earn technical fall victories in Stillwater.

  • Both Barnett and Leofatato finished the dual 1-0. Sloan Stewart also represented the 110 pound class with a bounce back performance in her exhibition bout after taking a loss in the lineup.
