DENTON, Texas (Feb. 11, 2026) - The Texas Woman's wrestling team celebrated Senior Night in style, closing the regular season with a 29-18 victory over Carl Albert State inside Kitty Magee Arena on Wednesday evening.
The Vikings opened the dual with momentum, building a 15-0 advantage through the first three weight classes. TWU quickly shifted the tide in the middle weights and never looked back, using a string of dominant bonus-point victories to secure the team win.
Brooke Zejda ignited the comeback, needing just 21 seconds to pin Mallory Sellars and put the Pioneers on the board. A forfeit victory at 131 pounds from Laisha Rios continued the momentum swing.
After a narrow 12-10 decision at 138 briefly slowed the rally, but TWU responded immediately. Maegan Flaherty recorded a fall in just 17 seconds to regain control of the dual.Â
The upper weights sealed the victory in dominant fashion. Poorna Babu earned a 10-0 technical fall, followed by Samaria Barnett's 26 second pin. Kitana Leofatato closed the night with a 10-0 technical fall at 207 pounds, putting the finishing touches on the 29-18 win.
