MANHEIM, Pa. (March 17, 2026) - The National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) announced Friday that five members of the Texas Woman's women's wrestling team have been named 2026 NCAA Women's Scholar All-Americans.
To earn this prestigious honor, student-athletes must demonstrate excellence both on the mat and in the classroom, meeting rigorous criteria set by the NWCA for academic achievement and competitive performance throughout the season.
The Pioneer honorees include seniors Poorna Babu (Biochemistry), Maegan Flaherty (Marketing), Brooke Zejda (Kinesiology), sophomore Gigi Donald (Mathematics), and freshman Mackenzie Blue (Nursing).
"I'm glad to see our athletes taking pride in their experience here as student-athletes," said head coach Randi Miller. "I hope each of them recognizes the value of what they've accomplished by becoming a Scholar All-American. Balancing academics and athletics is not easy, and I hope they are proud of themselves and all the hard work they've put in to reach this point."
This recognition highlights TWU's ongoing commitment to developing student-athletes who excel not only in competition, but also as scholars and leaders.
