ON THE ROAD
TIME TO BOUNCE BACK
-
A LOOK AT THE LIONS: Missouri Southern State tied with Colorado Christian on Friday, September 6 in their season opening game. The Lions managed to fight back from an early 1-0 deficit with a goal in the 85th minute, resulting in a 1-1 tie. MSSU was recently picked to finish 13th in the MIAA preseason coaches' poll and is still seeking its first win in two seasons after finishing 0-15-3 in 2023.

A LOOK AT THE PIONEERS: Texas Woman's recently opened their season at home against the East Central Tigers on Thursday, September 5. The Tigers secured a 2-0 victory over the Pioneers with two second half goals in Denton, Texas. TWU is now looking to bounce back against the Lions and earn a win on the road.
-
CAPITALIZE AND FINISH: On Thursday, the Pioneers were more aggressive on the offensive side than the Tigers, outshooting ECU 17-9. TWU put themselves in a position for scoring opportunities but could not capitalize in the box against East Central's goalkeeper. The Pioneers will look to continue with a strong attacking approach, keep the pressure on the Lions' goalie, and take chances when they present themselves.
The Pioneers will begin their road trip in Joplin, Missouri, to face the Lions tomorrow afternoon at 2 p.m. at Hal Bodon Field.
