DENTON, Texas (Jan. 19, 2025) – The Texas Woman's wrestling team faced off against the visiting Texans from Tarleton State on Saturday night at Kitty Magee Arena. The two teams split their 10 contested bouts, each finishing with five wins, resulting in a 24-24 tie. However, Tarleton State edged out the Pioneers by Criteria B – Most Victories by Fall, Forfeit, or Disqualification.

131-pound weight class: After four consecutive losses, Zejda helped get the Pioneers back on track with a win by fall over Neelie Parker.

145-pound weight class: Flaherty kept Texas Woman's within striking distance, securing an 11-0 tech fall victory over Zariah Rodriguez.

160-pound weight class: Babu continued the momentum shift, defeating her opponent just 32 seconds into the first period to tie the score 19-19.
