AUSTIN, Texas (Oct. 16, 2025)The Texas Woman's volleyball team is back on the road this weekend for a pair of Lone Star Conference match-ups in Central and South Texas. TWU (11-6, 4-2) will take on St. Edward's (5-7, 2-5) in Austin on Friday, Oct. 17 at 6 p.m., before heading south to San Antonio to face St. Mary's (7-10, 4-3) on Saturday, Oct. 18 at 2 p.m.

The Pioneers enter the weekend riding a two-match win streak after sweeping Sul Ross State and Western New Mexico at home. With balanced offense and defense leading the way, TWU looks to keep its momentum rolling as conference play intensifies. The trip to Austin and San Antonio will test the Pioneers' ability to stay composed and efficient on the road.

UNDER THE MICROSCOPE
  • A LOOK AT THE HILLTOPPERS: St. Edward's enters the weekend after back-to-back road wins over Texas A&M-Kingsville and Texas A&M International. The Hilltoppers are averaging 12.7 kills per set on a .197 hitting percentage, led by outside hitter Kelli Fording with 153 kills (3.26 per set) and Addy Badley with 114 kills (.265). Setter Althea Morris directs the offense with 426 assists (9.06 per set), while libero Giselle Ojeda anchors the defense, averaging 4.74 digs per set. St. Edwards has been strong at the service line with 89 aces, averaging nearly 2.0 per set.
  • A LOOK AT THE RATTLERS: St. Mary's has shown resilience in conference play, earning recent wins over Midwestern State and Texas A&M International. The Rattlers average 11.4 kills per set while hitting .179 as a team, paced by standout outside hitters Landri Withers (223 kills, 3.33 per set, .239 hitting) and Laurene Robinson (191 kills, .260 hitting). Defensively, libero Alyssa Koehl ranks among the league's best with 356 digs (5.31 per set) and middle blocker Dallasstar Johnson leads the front line with 73 blocks (1.12 per set).
  • A LOOK AT THE PIONEERS: Texas Woman's (11-6, 4-2) continues to showcase strong balance across all phases. The Pioneers are hitting .206 as a team, averaging 12.4 kills, 11.4 assists and 17.8 digs per set. Senior Myracle Stockman leads the offense with 151 kills (.260), followed closely by Tori Woods with 137 kills (.254). Setter Kiana Reed has recorded 370 assists (6.27 per set), while libero Alyssa Rojo anchors the back row with 291 digs (4.93 per set).
  • NOT TODAY: At the net, Jonaida Donowa and Myracle Stockman have combined for 99 total blocks, helping TWU rank among the top defensive teams in the Lone Star Conference. With a growing rhythm and confidence, the Pioneers look to extend their winning streak and strengthen their place in the league standings before returning home next week.
