COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Oct. 16, 2025) – The Texas Woman's wrestling team has been selected to finish fourth in the 2025-26 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll.
The RMAC Women's Wrestling Preseason Poll is voted on by the league's five head coaches, who are not permitted to vote for their own teams.
Texas Woman's earned seven points in the poll, placing them just behind Chadron State (9 points) and ahead of Adams State (5 points). Simon Fraser is the preseason favorite after collecting 15 points and three of the four available first-place votes. Colorado Mesa follows closely with 14 points and the remaining two first-place votes.
TWU looks to build off a strong 2024-25 campaign that featured standout performances and postseason qualifiers. With a combination of experienced returners and new additions, the Pioneers are primed for another competitive year on the mat.
The Pioneers open their season on Saturday, Oct. 25, with the annual Maroon and Black Intersquad at Kitty Magee Arena. TWU will travel to Grand Junction, Colo., for a dual against Snow College and conference foe Colorado Mesa on Nov. 1, before competing in the Maverick Open the following day.
