DENTON, Texas (Oct. 29, 2025) – The reigning WCGNIC National Champions, the Texas Woman's Pioneers, have released their 2026 schedule, as they prepare to strike a spark next season.

"This season will be packed with high-level competition both home and away," TWU Head Coach Lisa Bowerman said. "We are putting an extra emphasis this season on packing Kitty Magee Arena for every single one of our five home meets, so make sure to mark them on your calendars and plan to be there to cheer on your Pioneers as they embark on another historic season!"

The Pioneers will host their annual Holiday Spectacular on Sunday, Dec. 7 at 2 p.m., which will be the community's first opportunity to see the 2026 team in action. TWU will split into two teams to showcase their routines on each apparatus. Admission will be free to the public.

The 2026 season officially opens on Jan. 11, as TWU starts the season at home in KMA against the University of Pittsburgh at 2 p.m. Following the meet against Pitt, TWU will host their annual Free Post Meet Youth Clinic.

The Pioneers continue their home stand with a Tri Meet on Jan. 16 at 7 p.m. against Denver and Arizona. The meet will mark Club Gym Day, as the Pioneers welcome all gymnasts from local clubs.

TWU will then head on the road for five meets.

Following their trip to Pennsylvania, the Pioneers will head to the other side of the country, as they meet UC Davis on Jan. 30. TWU will remain in California for their next meet on Feb. 1. They will compete in a Quad Meet hosted by San Jose State, which will also feature Southern Utah and the United States Air Force Academy.

While it's labeled a road meet, the Pioneers next meet is just down the road from Denton. For the second straight season, TWU will compete in the Metroplex Challenge in Fort Worth, Texas. On Sunday, Feb. 8, TWU will meet Arkansas, Oklahoma and Arizona at the neutral site competition.

The Pioneers will close their five-meet road trip on Feb. 15 at 1 p.m. with a dual meet at Centenary.
