DENTON, Texas (Nov. 13, 2025) - The Texas Woman's soccer team moved up one spot to No. 6 in the latest NCAA Division II South Central Regional rankings. The Pioneers were previously ranked seventh among the top eight regional teams.

Of the eight teams ranked in the South Central Region, four represent the Lone Star Conference. TWU joins Dallas Baptist, Midwestern State, and UT Tyler among the LSC programs in the rankings. These four teams will meet today in the Lone Star Conference Championship semifinals, featuring the conference's top four programs.

The Pioneers (14-2-3, 9-2-3) secured third place in the LSC standings with a 1-0 victory over Angelo State on Nov. 4 in the regular-season finale at Pioneer Soccer Park. The win placed TWU one spot ahead of the Rambelles entering postseason play.

In the quarterfinals of the LSC Championship, the Pioneers defeated No. 6 seed St. Mary's 1-0 in overtime, with the golden goal coming in the 94th minute at home. The victory advanced TWU to the semifinal round, where the Pioneers will face No. 2 seed Midwestern State (11-1-6, 10-4). The winner will move on to the LSC Championship game on Sunday, Nov. 16.

TWU and MSU will kick off tonight, Nov. 13, at 7:30 p.m. in Dallas, hosted by Dallas Baptist.
