DENTON, Texas (Dec. 3, 2025) – Following a decorated first year as a Pioneer, Alyssa Rojo was named to the 2025 D2CCA All-South Central Region Second Team.

Rojo, a junior libero, becomes just the fourth Pioneer in program history to receive this honor and first since 2014.

"Alyssa has proven herself as a solid libero both with passing and defending," said TWU Head Coach Jessica Ransom. "I am so proud of her and the immediate impact she made in our program. I am excited for what's to come!"

In her first year at TWU, Rojo excelled as the Pioneers primary libero. In her 111 sets played, she averaged 5.60 digs per set with 622 digs total on the season. She also posted a .953 reception percentage and 26 total service aces. She ranked first in the Lone Star Conference in digs per set and 10th overall in NCAA Division II.

She was named the LSC Newcomer of the Year and to the All-LSC Second Team.

The 2025 D2CCA All-South Central Region Player of the Year was Madi Parrish from Angelo State. The D2CCA recognizes a first and second team All-Region, with seven players on each team. Players selected to the first team will advance to All-America voting.
