DENTON, Texas (May 21, 2025) – For the first time in her career, junior Anna Cheek has been named a STUNT Coaches Association (CSCA) All-American Honorable Mention, becoming the fourth Texas Woman's STUNT athlete to earn the award.

In her third season with the Pioneers, Cheek was named the team's Most Valuable Athlete and earned the 2025 Lone Star Conference STUNT Athlete of the Year award — the first individual in program history to receive the honor. She also secured a spot on the All-Conference First Team.

"Anna leads this team with grace and has been an inspiration this season," Head Coach Jasmine Owens said. "She is our 2025 MVP and LSC Athlete of the Year — all because of her self-determination and dedication."

Cheek competed in 232 rounds this season, winning 83, and finished with a power ranking of 436. She competed in and won the most rounds of any Pioneer this year and was also recognized as the team's top tumbler.

Coach Owens also praised Cheek's work ethic and her impact beyond the scoresheet.

"I'm proud of how hard she works, but I'm even more proud of how she's shown up as a leader for her teammates this year," Owens said.

To qualify for CSCA All-American recognition, student-athletes must meet the following criteria: compete in all four quarters of each match, participate in at least 50 percent of games played, and demonstrate a vital role in their team's success through their performance in routines.
