DENTON, Texas (June 19, 2025) – For the 2024-25 season, Ashley Ingram was honored as a Lone Star Conference Scholar-Athlete.

According to the LSC, "each academic year, the conference presents a Scholar-Athlete award to one male and one female student-athlete who is a member of the graduating class at each LSC member institution. Award recipients are selected by their campus and represent outstanding accomplishments in scholarship, athletics and leadership. Honorees must have participated for at least two years in their sport."

Ingram, a graduating senior from Bridgeport, Texas, recently completed her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology - Pre-Occupational Therapy. She closed her undergraduate academic career with a 3.885 grade point average, and she graduated from the Texas Woman's Athenian Honors College.

During the course of her four years with the Pioneers, Ingram excelled in her studies. She was honored as a three-time LSC All-Academic team member, a three-time College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honoree and a two-time CSC Academic All-American.

Additionally, Ingram graduated as the most-decorated Pioneer basketball student-athlete in program history. She was named the 2022 LSC Freshman of the Year and named to the 2022 LSC All-Freshman Team. She is a four-time All-LSC First Team honoree, a four-time D2CCA All-South Central Region honoree and a two-time LSC Preseason Player of the Year. In 2023, she became just the second Pioneer all-time to be named a WBCA All-American. She went on to be named a WBCA All-America two more times in her career, and she became the first D2CCA All-American in program history, being named to the list during her junior and senior seasons. Following the 2024 LSC Regular Season, Ingram became the first Pioneer to be named the LSC Player of the Year. During that season, she also was named the first TWU D2CCA South Central Regional Most Valuable Player and the NCAA South Central Regional Tournament Most Valuable Player, as she led the Pioneers to their first South Central Regional Title, NCAA Elite Eight and National Championship appearance.

To close out her career at TWU, she was named the LSC Tournament MVP, as she led the Pioneers to their second straight LSC Tournament Title. Additionally, she helped guide the Pioneers to their third straight LSC Regular Season Title. She was also named to the LSC All-Defensive Team for the first time in her career.

Ingram also set numerous records during her time at TWU. She finished her four years as the all-time leading scorer in program history and the all-time leading rebounder in program history. She is the only Pioneer to rank in the Top 10 all-time in points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocks. During the 2023-24 season, she also set records for the most points scored in a season and most rebounds recorded in a season. She currently holds the Division II and LSC record for most free throws made in a season.

While balancing success in the classroom and on the court, Ingram also served on the TWU Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, and during her senior season, she was named the Secretary. She also served her community by coaching youth basketball and inspiring the next generation of young girls to pursue their dreams.

"Ashley truly embodies what it means to be a TWU Pioneer," TWU Basketball Head Coach Beth Jillson said. "She is a competitor, a leader, a champion and true Pioneer in all she does. During her time at TWU, she gave her all to be her best for everyone around her. It is difficult in a few words to outline what she has meant to not only me and this program, but to everyone who came into contact with her. I am so proud of all she has accomplished, and I look forward to continuing to cheer her on in this next journey of life."
