DENTON, Texas (June 4, 2025) - The Texas Woman's soccer team loads up on talent for their 2025 season as they add 11 new Pioneers to the squad.
"We are excited to introduce our 2025 class to Pioneer Nation, Head Coach
Babak Abouzar said. "They all come in helping us fill voids that we needed to complete with the graduation of our irreplaceable Fall 2024 seniors. This group will come in and compete right away while adding value to a hungry group of returners who have already done a tremendous job in embracing their new teammates."

 Gianna Antovoni joins Texas Woman's as a sophomore transfer forward from McKinney, Texas. A graduate of Frisco
 Liberty  High School, Antovoni spent her freshman season at Dallas College Brookhaven, where she earned an Â
 impressive list of accolades, including NJCAA All-American, United Soccer Coaches All-American, First Team All-Conference,
 Conference MVP, All- Region, and All-Tournament honors.
 In club competition, Antovoni played for FC Dallas 04G North Black Premier-NL from 2021 to 2023 and currently competes
 with the Texas Spurs in the UPSL.
 After high school, she spent six months in Hawaii, where she worked in red light districts supporting women
 rebuilding  their lives and volunteered with families in rural communities, helping rebuild homes after the Hawaii wildfires.
 Academically, she was named Academic All-District as a high school senior and received Academic Honor Roll and the Student Leadership Award  during her freshman year at Brookhaven. Antovoni plans to study nursing at TWU.
Jaida Arizmendi, a Dallas native, joins Texas Woman's after attending Irma Lerma Rangel Young Women's Leadership School. During her high school career, she was named Newcomer of the Year as a senior, earned First Team All-District honors in 2022, and was selected Second Team All-District in 2023. Arizmendi was part of a nationally and state-ranked program throughout her time at Rangel and is one of three siblings.
On the club level, Arizmendi competed with the Mexican Youth National Team from 2022 to 2023. She was also an active leader off the field, participating in organizations such as Peer Assistance and Leadership and the Junior World Affairs Council. Her volunteer efforts include supporting teachers at Solar Preparatory for Girls, helping run summer camp at Winnetka Elementary, and wrapping gifts for children.
Arizmendi earned Academic All-State honors as a senior and will major in kinesiology at TWU.
 Nadia Araiza, a winger from Irving, Texas, comes to Texas Woman's after a standout career at Nimitz High School.
 A four-year First Team All-District honoree, Araiza helped lead the Vikings to  three state championships,
 three regional titles, and two national championships.
 A multisport athlete, Araiza also competed in volleyball, basketball, softball, cross country, and track, in addition
 to her soccer success. She played club soccer for Arsenal (3 years), Solar (4 years), and DKSC (2 years). The only
 girl among five siblings, Araiza is known for her drive both on and off the field.
 In the community, she volunteered at a local turkey drive, mentored youth, and served as a coach with the
 Irving Soccer Association. She was also involved in school organizations including Student Influencers and
 the Superintendent's Committee.
At Nimitz, she was recognized for her leadership and academic excellence, earning Cum Laude honors all four years. She also received the Principal's Award (twice), the Female Athlete Award (twice), and the  Leadership Award (four times). Araiza plans to major in criminal justice and minor in music education at TWU.
Morgan Brannan, a versatile winger and center back from Leander, Texas, joins the Pioneers after a decorated career at Leander High School. A three-time Academic All-District honoree and an district Honorable Mention, Brannan brings both athletic experience and academic dedication to TWU.
Brannan, a sibling of two, has played soccer for 13 years. She competed at the club level for Lone Star, Westlake, and Sting, gaining experience across multiple competitive environments.Â
Off the field, she was actively involved in the Peer Assistance and Leadership (PALs) program, where she developed leadership and mentoring skills. At TWU, Brannan will major in marketing with a minor in nutrition.
 Macy Childers, a forward from Aubrey, Texas, attended Aubrey High School, where she was awarded All-State honors
 her junior and senior year. She has played soccer for 13 years and played club most recently for FC  Dallas (2021–2024).
 Childers is a sibling of three and chose TWU because of the great atmosphere, amazing coaches and teammates,
 along with good opportunities for her future. She is a hard worker and always willing to help others no
 matter the situation.
 She plans to major in nursing at TWU.
Abby Friday, a winger and attacking mid from Houston, Texas, attended Atascocita High School before joining the Pioneers. During her years at Atascocita, she made the TASCO Second Team All-Region in 2023, First Team All-District in 2022, 2023, and 2024, and was a regional semifinalist. She also earned Third Team All-Region honors in 2022.
Academically, Friday was named Academic All-District in 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025. She competed in club play for Challenge Soccer Club.
In addition to playing soccer for 13 years, she is actively involved in church programs within her community. She is a sibling of three and plans to major in business starting in the fall.
 Kate Jackson, a goalkeeper from Plano, Texas, attended Plano West Senior High School, where she was a two-time
 Second Team All-District selection and received Honorable Mention  All-District honors in 2024.
 Before her career at Plano West, Jackson played club soccer for seven years with Solar ECRL 07 Byars. She competed in
 the 2022 Dallas Cup Championship Finals, NPL Finals in 2022, placed first in the Veterans Tournament in  2022, and won the
 2023 NPL Nationals U16 title.
 Academically, she was named Academic All-District in 2025. A sibling of three, she plans to study kinesiology at TWU.Â
A graduate defender from Wylie, Texas, Carringtyn Johnson,played three years at Angelo State University before joining the Pioneers. During her time at ASU, she was part of a Lone Star Conference regular season  championship, an LSC tournament championship, and an NCAA regional finalist team.
She plans to complete her master's program at TWU, majoring in sociology with a concentration in criminology starting in the fall.

 Janelle Lozano, a midfielder from Duncanville, Texas, joins the Pioneers after competing for the Panthers of  Duncanville High School, where she earned First Team All-District honors all four years.
 Most recently, she played club for DKSC and was recognized with TASCO Academic All-State honors in 2024
 and 2025, along with a THSCA Academic All-State honorable mention. The Duncanville native chose
 Texas Woman's because she felt safe and knew it would soon feel like home with its family-style
 community and alignment with her academic and athletic goals.
A sibling of four, Lozano's sister, Lizette Lozano, is a TWU alumna who graduated in 2020. She will major in criminal justice starting in the fall.Â
The outside back from Beaumont, Texas, Haley Nguyen, attended West Brook High School, where she was named Second Team All-District from 2021 to 2023, First Team All-District from 2023 to 2025, and Team MVP for both 2024 and 2025. During her tenure, she helped lead West Brook to a district championship and a fourth-round playoff run in 2021–2022.
In club play, Nguyen competed for Havoc Soccer Club for two years and Rise Soccer Club for six years. Beyond athletics, she was involved in several student organizations, including the National Honor Society, Green Club, Stand Up to Cancer Club, BARC Club, and BYTE Club. She also participated in Green Club service projects within her community.
A multi-sport athlete and sibling of two, Nguyen has competed in volleyball and tennis alongside her 14 years of soccer experience. She also trains kids in soccer—an experience she says has had the biggest impact on her personal growth. Working with them has broadened her perspective and become a source of inspiration.
Academically, she earned Academic All-District honors from 2021 to 2025 and Academic All-State honors in 2024 and 2025. She will major in business marketing at TWU.

 Aubrie Ramos, an attacking midfielder and outside back from Dallas, Texas, attended Molina High School, where she was
 a two-time district champion and helped her team win the DISD Tournament in 2024 and 2025. Over her four-year
 career, she earned multiple honors, including Utility Player of the Year as a freshman, First Team All-District and Midfielder
 of the Year as a sophomore, District MVP as a junior, and Utility  Player of the Year again as a senior.
 Before her time at Molina, Ramos played club soccer for the Dallas Texans and DKSC. In addition to her
 soccer accomplishments, she competed in basketball and cross country. A sibling of four, she has been playing soccer
 since she was three years old and has proudly worn the No. 17 jersey since she started.
 She plans to major in kinesiology at TWU.
With the addition of the 2025 signing class, the Pioneers look to regain momentum this season, aiming to compete at a high level and return to the NCAA Tournament.
