Their ability to maintain a balanced attack and finish points at the net makes them a strong opening opponent.
  • SERIES HISTORY: TWU and TAMUK have built a long-standing rivalry within the Lone Star Conference. The Pioneers hold the advantage in the all-time series, leading 40-14 overall, including a strong 22-6 record in Denton. TWU has won the last three meetings against the Javelinas, including a 3-1 victory at Kitty Magee Arena last November. The Pioneers' longest win streak in the series stretched to 13 matches between 2003–2012, while TAMUK's longest came in a four-match run between 2016–2017.
  • PIONEER PRIDE: The Pioneers will look to lean on key contributors as they open conference play. Myracle Stockman leads the team with 89 kills, supported by Sydney Garrison, 76, and Tori Woods, 75. Setter Kiana Reed continues to direct the offense with 236 assists thus far, while Alyssa Rojo anchors the defense with 190 digs on the year. At the net, Jonaida Donowa, 34 blocks, and Stockman, 27 blocks, have been critical in establishing TWU as one of the conference's top blocking teams. With depth across the roster and momentum from non-conference success, TWU aims to set the tone early in LSC play.
