DENTON, Texas (Feb. 6, 2026) - The Texas Woman's wrestling team will travel to Stillwater, Okla., on Saturday for an exhibition dual against Oklahoma State. The match is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.
The dual marks TWU's final regular-season road competition before Senior Night on Wednesday, Feb. 11.
Tomorrow's matchup will be the Pioneers' third exhibition of the season and comes after a strong showing at the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championships last weekend in Colorado Springs.
A Look Back
TWU enters the dual with momentum after placing eight wrestlers in the top five at the RMAC Championships, including three top-three finishes from Brooke Zejda, Poorna Babu and Samaria Barnett.
Zejda led the Pioneers with a second place finish at 124 pounds. She advanced to the championship bout after defeating the No. 2 ranked wrestler in her weight class before falling to the top ranked opponent in the finals.
Babu and Barnett each earned third place finishes at 160 and 180 pounds, respectively. Competing at 160 pounds, Babu posted a 3-1 record, highlighted by a victory over the No. 4 ranked wrestler in her division. Barnett also went 3-1 on the day at 180 pounds to secure her spot on the podium.
Additional solid performances came from Maegan Flaherty, who finished fourth at 145 pounds after a 2-2 showing, while Mackenzie Blue placed fifth in the same weight class. At 138 pounds, Abigail Gallardo opened the tournament with a win over the No. 2 ranked wrestler and went on to finish fifth. Sloan Stewart recorded a victory at 110 pounds to earn a fourth- place finish.
The exhibition against the Cowgirls will give the Pioneers an opportunity to sharpen their skills as they prepare for the final stretch of the regular season ahead of regional and postseason competition.
