DENTON, Texas (March 10, 2026) - Texas Woman's STUNT sophomore NaKarla Arriola was named the Lone Star Conference Stunter of the Week following week six of the regular season, the conference announced Tuesday.
The award marks the second LSC weekly honor for the Pioneers this season and the first of Arriola's career.
Arriola, a sophomore main base from San Antonio, Texas, accumulated 38 points during the Pioneers' weekend of competition at the St. Edward's Tournament in Austin. Her performances helped TWU secure wins over Central Arkansas and Ferris State while competing in four total matchups during the event.
Serving as a key contributor in both pyramids and partner stunts, Arriola played an important role in helping Texas Woman's consistently score points throughout the competition.
"NaKarla has been an incredibly reliable main base for us and a huge contributor to the points we earn in pyramids and partner stunts," said head coach Leslie Allen. "Her consistency, strength, and attention to detail make her a vital part of our lineup, and it's great to see her recognized for the work she's put in this season."
TWU will next compete at the Pacific Northwest Open on Friday, March 13, and Saturday, March 14, before preparing for the 2026 Lone Star Conference STUNT Championship Tournament, scheduled for March 27-28.
