Dear Wrestling,
It's hard to put into words what you have truly meant to me. For so long, you have been more than just a sport—you have been a constant in my life, shaping me in ways I never expected. Every early morning, every exhausting practice, and every long tournament day tested me, but each moment was worth it. Through it all, you quietly built a strength and confidence within me that I know I will carry for the rest of my life.
You gave me more than wins and losses. You gave me friendships that feel like family, memories I will hold onto forever, and lessons that reach far beyond the mat. You taught me that no matter how hard something feels, I am capable of pushing through. You showed me that growth comes from discomfort, and that becoming the best version of myself means choosing the hard path, again and again.
Being part of the growth of women's wrestling has been something truly special. To witness it rise and to play even a small role in something so powerful and inspiring is an honor I will always cherish. It has shown me the beauty of perseverance, unity, and breaking barriers.
Thank you for everything—for the challenges, the victories, the lessons, and the people. Thank you for shaping who I am today. And thank you to everyone who supported me along this journey; I could never have done it alone.
TWU will always feel like home, and wrestling will always have a place in my heart.
