DENTON, Texas (June 1, 2026) – Pursuing excellence in their sport and their academics stands as a cornerstone characteristic of the student-athletes at Texas Woman's.

After the 2026 Spring Semester came to a close, the Pioneers topped a 3.0 departmental grade point average (GPA) for the 88th straight semester. The Pioneers posted a cumulative 3.463 department GPA, as all nine sports boasted above a 3.0 GPA for the 2026 Spring Semester. 

The top three individual team GPAs were celebrated by Gymnastics, Basketball and Artistic Swimming. Gymnastics rose to a 3.812, Basketball boasted a 3.781 and Artistic Swimming finished strong with a 3.593.
