DENTON, Texas (Sept. 29, 2026) - The Texas Woman's soccer team fell seven spots to No. 19 in Tuesday's NCAA Division II IWSOC Top 25 Coaches Poll, following its first loss of the season.

TWU is 9-1-0 on the season after falling 1-0 to Midwestern State on Sunday in Wichita Falls. The Mustangs moved up nine spots to No. 12 in this week's national poll following the victory.

"Another ranking is a reflection of the work this group continues to put in every day. Credit to MSU for giving us a tough battle and challenging us in ways that will make us better. We're proud of how this team continues to compete, and we know those battles will prepare us for what's ahead. We know there's still a lot of work to do. We're battle-tested and will be ready to compete again tomorrow."

In the South Central Region rankings, TWU remained No. 3 behind top-ranked Dallas Baptist (9-0-0), which climbed one spot to No. 2 nationally, and No. 12 Midwestern State (9-0-1). The Lone Star Conference features three teams in this week's national Top 25: Dallas Baptist at No. 2, Midwestern State at No. 12 and TWU at No. 19.

TWU returns to action tomorrow in Portales, N.M., as they take on the Eastern New Mexico Greyhounds at 7 p.m.
