DENTON, Texas (Sept. 30, 2026) – The Texas Woman's volleyball team continues Lone Star Conference play on the road this week with matchups against Sul Ross State and Western New Mexico.
The Pioneers (4-10, 1-3) open the road trip against Sul Ross State (0-15, 0-5) on Thursday, Oct. 1 at 6 p.m. in Alpine, Texas, before traveling to Silver City, N.M., to face Western New Mexico (9-7, 3-2).
TWU enters the week after splitting a pair of home conference matches at Kitty Magee Arena.Â
The Pioneers defeated Eastern New Mexico, 3-1, on Friday before closing the weekend against West Texas A&M on Saturday.

Alyssa Rojo continues to lead the Pioneers defensively. Rojo enters the week with a team-high 265 digs and averages 5.10 digs per set.
Mary Grace King has led the Pioneers offensively with 175 kills and averages 3.43 kills per set. King has also contributed 142 digs and 24 total blocks while averaging a team-high 3.83 points per set.
Gracie Erichsen has added 110 kills while hitting .228 and averages 2.50 kills per set.
Trinity Blackwood has also recorded 110 kills, averaging 2.29 per set, while adding 47 total blocks.
At the net,
Montserrat Soto-Talavera has recorded 45 total blocks and averages a team-high 1.10 blocks per set. Soto-Talavera has also contributed 40 kills and 10 service aces.
Lorena Gomez has directed the Pioneers offense with a team-high 358 assists and averages 6.88 assists per set. Gomez has also recorded 130 digs and a team-high 17 service aces.
As a team, TWU ranks among the LSC's best defensively. The Pioneers rank second in the conference with 17.29 digs per set and third with 2.21 blocks per set.
TWU also ranks eighth in the LSC in assists, averaging 11.58 per set, and eighth in points at 16.13 per set. The Pioneers rank 10th in kills with 12.56 per set and 11th in hitting percentage at .180.
Sul Ross State enters Thursday's matchup with an 0-15 overall record and an 0-5 mark in LSC play. The Lobos have recorded 447 kills and 423 assists while hitting .115 as a team.
The Lobos average 8.94 kills and 8.5 assists per set. Sul Ross State has also recorded 41 service aces, averaging 0.82 per set.
Defensively, Sul Ross State has totaled 626 digs and averages 12.52 digs per set. The Lobos have recorded 61 total blocks and average 1.22 blocks per set.
Western New Mexico enters the week with a 9-7 overall record and a 3-2 mark in conference play.
The Mustangs rank fifth in the LSC with a .235 hitting percentage and average 12.42 kills per set. WNMU has also recorded 91 service aces and averages 1.54 per set.
Western New Mexico leads the LSC at the net, averaging 2.39 blocks per set with 141 total blocks. The Mustangs also rank second in the conference in opponent hitting percentage, holding teams to a .146 clip.
