DENTON, Texas (Oct. 31, 2017) - Texas Woman's University soccer earned the sixth seed in the Lone Star Conference Tournament and will travel to West Texas A&M to take on the third-seeded Lady Buffs Wednesday at 7 p.m.

LSC Tournament information
Angelo State is the top seed for Lone Star Conference Women's Soccer Championship Tournament after claiming its third title. The championship will take place November 1-3-5 with the quarterfinals at on-campus sites and the semifinals and finals in San Angelo, Texas.
ASU will host the semifinals and final as the No. 1 seed for the six-team, single-elimination conference championship
Both ASU and Texas-A&M-Commerce, who is the No. 2 seed, have first-round byes.
West Texas A&M is third, Midwestern State fourth, Eastern New Mexico fifth and Texas Woman's sixth.
The championship starts on Wednesday, Nov. 1, with WT hosting TWU in Canyon, Texas, and ENMU at MSU in Wichita Falls, Texas, in quarterfinal action.
The semifinals will be played at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Friday with the 3-6 winner playing A&M-C, and the 4-5 winner taking on host ASU.
The Friday winners get a day off before playing on Sunday at 1 p.m. for the LSC Tournament crown and automatic bid into the NCAA Division II championship field.

Chelsea Martin tied a TWU program record with three assists. Freshman midfielder Jazmine Navarro ranks second in the Lone Star Conference in assists with six, while senior midfielder
Chelsea Martin is third with five helpers. Martin has two game-winning goals on the year to sit fourth in the league and co-leads the Pioneers with six goals alongside freshman forward Haley Ward to rank fourth in the LSC.

The Lady Buffs enter the tournament following a 3-1 win over No. 16 Midwestern State Sunday. Jessica Diaz's two game-winning goals rank third in the league while Marlene van Mourik ranks ninth in assists with four, and Noir Hawash is ninth in the LSC with 13 points on five goals and three assists.

History between TWU and WT
West Texas A&M holds a 16-5-2 advantage over Texas Woman's dating to the first season of the Pioneer program in 2002. The teams tied during the first matchup of this season, and TWU took a 3-2 overtime win on Oct. 22.

Chelsea Martin and
Jackie Bucy, along with the TWU Soccer Field, had their Pioneer home careers conclude in exciting fashion Sunday afternoon as
Lucero Chavez headed in the golden goal during overtime for a 3-2 win over West Texas A&M.
 While TWU seniors Martin and Bucy took in their final home game, the field itself also saw its last competition, as it will be transformed into university housing to support the growing campus community. The Pioneers will continue play on a new on-campus field in 2018 with a site to be announced.
