LUBBOCK, Texas (October 14, 2022) – After a three match homestand, the Texas Woman's soccer team takes to the road to face Lubbock Christian on Saturday afternoon.
 
TWU (1-7-5, 1-3-4) tied UT-Tyler 1-1 at Pioneer Soccer Park on Wednesday, October 12. LCU (6-2-5, 3-2-2) also played Wednesday night. Unlike the Pioneers, they did not earn a result, losing to Angelo State, who is receiving votes, 2-0.
 
In the Lone Star Conference rankings, the Lady Chaps currently rank fifth with 11 points. The Pioneers have seven points and sit in ninth place with the ability to jump in the rankings with a result on Saturday.

• LOOK BACK: The all-time series between the Lady Chaps and the Pioneers is 1-1-1 with the Pioneers holding the most recent win (2-1 in 2021 in Denton). The last time TWU played in Lubbock was in 2019, and the Pioneers lost 2-1. TWU will look to earn three points and defeat the Lady Chaps on Saturday.
• KEEP THE STREAK GOING: LCU has just two losses this season, both of those losses have been in their last two matches. The Lady Chaps lost to UT Tyler 1-0 and Angelo State 2-0. Additionally, the Lady Chaps have not scored in the past two matches. The Pioneers most recently tied UT Tyler, scoring one goal. The Pioneers will look to extend the Lady Chaps' losing streak to three on Saturday afternoon.
• BE READY: The Pioneers broke their scoring drought this season at Pioneer Soccer Park. Bri Luna scored her second career goal and second goal of the season off a beautiful cross by Abby Powers.
