THREE POINTS = DUB

  • LOOK BACK: Last year, the Pioneers defeated the Lady Buffs for the first time in program history in Canyon, Texas, 5-4. The Pioneers scored the game winning in overtime against West Texas A&M. TWU will look to repeat their clutch scoring plays from last season and find the upsetting win over the Lady Buffs at Pioneer Soccer Park on Saturday.
  • DEFENSE, DEFENSE, DEFENSE: West Texas A&M has scored 27 goals on the season. Their leading goal scorer is Maria-Frances Serrant, who has 12, followed by Asha James with nine. TWU has been holding their conference opponents to fewer than two goals per match. The only time the Pioneers have allowed two goals was against #1 Dallas Baptist. TWU will look to continue to limit the scoring of their opponent to secure the win on Saturday.
  • CONNECT WITH THE NET: Keely Chapman leads the Pioneers with nine shots on goal this season, followed by Dylann Vollaro, who has eight shots on frame in 2022. While the Pioneers have not connected with the net in the past four matches, they will look to their attackers to complete the strike in the attacking third of the field.
