DENTON, Texas (Nov. 10, 2022) - Kitty Magee Arena was filled with chanting fans from Texas Woman's and Texas Wesleyan, as both schools went head-to-head in the battle of the TWU's Thursday night
 
The Pioneers closed the night scoring 11 points to the Rams 38 points. Tonight's dual featured six Pioneers, who took to the mat including Ashlee Rice, Mackenzie Peterson, Kira Phillips, Brooke Zejda, Faith Perez, Zanya Walker and Sheanareial Miller. 
 
Three forfeits were recorded for the Pioneers, which widened their scoring gap between Rams. Zayna Walker scored five points due to forfeit from the Rams.
 
During the 170-weight class match up, Miller pinned Leilani Hernandez of Texas Wesleyan at 2:32. Miller was the only Pioneer to compete and win her weight class.
 
Next, the Pioneers are headed to Marshal, Missouri on Nov. 18-19 to compete in the Missouri Valley Open.
