WIN = THREE POINTS
- A LOOK AT LAST YEAR: When the Patriots and the Pioneers met in 2021, DBU narrowly beat TWU 1-0. The Patriots scored a goal in the 13th minute of action. While the Pioneers had nine corner kick opportunities, they could not find the tying goal. The Pioneers will look to rewrite the story on Wednesday night at Patriot Soccer Field.
- GOLDEN OPPORTUNITIES: Throughout this season, TWU's mantra has been: finish in the attacking third. The Pioneers have recorded 112 shots this season and are averaging 12.4 per game; however, TWU has only scored four goals. Bri Luna currently leads the Pioneers in attempts with 19, while Keely Chapman is second with 16 opportunities. TWU will look to capitalize on their chances and score on Wednesday night.
- PROTECT THE NET: DBU has scored 16 goals in 2022. TWU's starting goalkeeper Morgan Sherman has 43 saves on the season, which ranks eighth in the LSC. She is currently averaging 4.78 saves per game, which is second in the LSC. Sherman will look to protect the net and record her third shutout of the season. The Patriots have not been shut out in 2022.
