DENTON, Texas (Oct. 24, 2023) - The last stop for the Texas Woman's soccer team on the road is Tyler, Texas. TWU will take on UT Tyler on Wednesday, Oct. 25 at 7 p.m. for their last regular season game on the road.
The Pioneers (11-1-3, 6-1-2) who have been at the top of the Lone Star Conference since Oct. 1st are ready to close off their 6-1-1 away record with another win against UT Tyler (2-3-8, 0-2-6), currently 11th in the LSC standings.
ROADTRIP
A LOOK AT PATRIOTS:

UT Tyler is one of only three teams in the LSC to win a game yet during conference play. The Patriots recorded two wins in their non-conference matchups against Javis Christian and East Central, but they have not won a game since Sep. 9.

Before their 1-0 loss against Lubbock Christian last Saturday, Oct. 21, the Patriots held a six game tie record.

Amanda Farris and TWU are sitting at the top of the NCAA DIvision II goals against average tables.

Farris has been among the best goalkeepers of the nation for the last few weeks, and now she leads the LSC and the Division II keepers. She leads the LSC in goals against average, saves and shutouts per game.

TWU's defensive back line has also demonstrated to be a phenomenal week after week. Their 12 shutout games and three goals conceded makes them one of the best defensive teams in the nation.

With only 3 games left of the regular season, the Pioneers look to record another win on the road and continue to lead the LSC.

Alyssa Striker is in the top 17 of the LSC in shots, shots on goal, goals, assists, game-winning goals, and points. She is positioned third with 24 shots on goals and sixth on shots with a total of 47. The freshman from Wylie, Texas, has scored four goals this season which positions her 12th in the LSC with a .267 average.
A LOOK BACK:
TWU owns the overall record between these two teams 3-0-1. The Pioneers have never lost to the Patriots since their first ever match up in 2019. In 2022, the teams recorded a 1-1 draw in Denton, Texas, with a goal from Bri Luna for the Pioneers.
