Dear Volleyball,

I never thought the day would come when I would be writing to you. Since I was nine, you have gotten me through so many things that I cannot even begin to explain.

When we first met, you were something that I just enjoyed doing and having around. As I got older, you became so much more than that, an outlet, a teacher and a bringer of friends, and for all of that I could not be more grateful for you.

Through my hardest days, when I could not express myself or felt a million emotions at once - you were there, letting me be myself and surrounding me with people who accept me and love me for the person that I am. You helped me become closer to my family in more ways than anyone can know. You were tough on me, but it was never anything that you did not know I could handle. You made me strong, mature, resilient, determined and loyal.

The way I closed my chapter with you was one of the most bittersweet moments of my life. Saying goodbye to you is never going to be easy, but bringing the girls that I played with, the coaches that supported me, and the program that always showed up for me allowed me to be able to write this letter in the first place. I am so much more than thankful, I am blessed. You will forever be a part of me and the person that I am today. I will continue sharing our story and constantly thank God for bringing us together. You have fulfilled so many dreams for me and helped me to keep dreaming. Thank you always for being my peace.
