DENTON, Texas (Sept. 13 2023) – The Pioneers are back on the road for a two game trip this week in Arkansas. They take on Harding University on Thursday, Sept. 14 to kick off the road trip.
TWU started the season strong, and they are still undefeated with an overall record of 4-0-0. The Bisons also had a solid start with a couple of wins, but they have not had the same success as the Pioneers. HU lost their last two games against Christian Brothers and Union 1-0 and 2-1 respectively.
A LOOK BACK
TWU is looking to tie things up, as the Bisons own the all-time record 2-3-2. In what seems to be a pretty even history, the last time these two teams faced each other the Bisons took the win in Denton, Texas with a goal from the now senior Caitlaan Potter.
In 2021, the Pioneers visited Arkansas and came back with a 2-0 win over HU, a scenario they look to repeat.
KEEP'EM COMING

The Pioneers have only allowed one goal in all four games played so far. The defensive back line and goalkeeper Amanda Farris have recorded three clean sheets in the last three matches.

TWU has not only finished their last three matches with positive results, but they have also recorded a massive total of 64 shots and more than half of those on goal.

Farris is currently leading the Lone Star Conference with 13 saves.

The Pioneers look to keep the goals coming. Dylann Vollaro, Bailee Radney, Alyssa Striker, Rachel Ryter, Alyssa Valdez and Bri Luna contributed to all 11 goals for TWU this season, and they will look to add more goals to their individual stats.
