ROAD STRETCH
ATTACK FIRST AND THEN FINISH:
-
A LOOK AT THE EAGLES: Oklahoma Christian is coming into the match on a two game win streak after victories over West Texas A&M and Sul Ross State. In their last two games, OC has beaten their opponents for a combined score of 7-1 after a 4-0 shutout vs SRSU in their recent outing at home. Three of their four goals came in the second half as the Eagles cruised past the newly joined Lone Star Conference Lobos to secure their second straight win.
-
A LOOK AT THE PIONEERS: TWU will look to shift gears and get back in the win column on the road after starting 4-0 before dropping their last outing to Angelo State back in September. The Pioneers look to build off their previous performance against St. Edward's, where they defeated the Hilltoppers 2-0 on the road. Celeste Beltran got TWU started early with her first career goal in the ninth minute with an assist from Alyssa Valdez. Freshman forward Bella Alfaro added to the lead with another goal in the 24th minute that helped TWU secure their first conference win.
-
ONE STEP AHEAD: Texas Woman's reached the 100th shot mark in their last match as they outshot the SEU 10-8 with six shots on goal and have a 104-65 shot advantage over their opponents this season. TWU has been able to start fast and attempt the first shot in almost all their matches before the 10 minute mark in the first half. Coach Babak and his squad will look to continue their aggressive offensive surge and get in the box early and often.
The Pioneers will look to push back up the LSC rankings as they take on the Eagles on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
