Dear Volleyball, 

As I sit down to write this, it feels surreal reflecting on 13 years of playing a sport that has been such a big part of my life. From the very first time I stepped onto the court, to where I stand now, looking back on the countless volleyball games, practices, and memories, I am overwhelmed with gratitude. Thank you for the lessons you've taught me. From dealing with defeat to celebrating victory, you've taught me resilience. Thank you for your discipline and consistency. From the early mornings to late-night practices, every hour spent with you has made me a better version of myself. You've taught me that growth comes not just from success, but from the struggles, the adversity, and the moments I've overcome that made me stronger. Thank you for the friendships. Through you, I've met some of the most incredible people, people who have been with me through highs and lows, challenges and victories. These friendships have become lifelong connections that I will forever cherish deeply. I want to thank those who have supported me through every step of this journey. To my coaches, teammates, family, and friends, your encouragement and belief in me have meant more to me than words can express. I couldn't have made it this far without you. Thank you, volleyball, for all you've given me. Your challenges, your rewards, and your quiet lessons during tough times. As I look forward to my next chapter in life, I know that the lessons you've taught me will stay with me forever and you will always be a part of me. For the laughter, the tears, and every moment in between, I am forever grateful. Little Erin would be so proud.
