PIONEERS MEET CENTENARY FOR SENIOR NIGHT IN KMA

DENTON, Texas (March 17, 2024) – It's senior night for the Texas Woman's gymnastics teams today at 8 p.m. in Kitty Magee Arena.
 
TWU will be competing in a dual meet against Centenary on Sunday, March 17. Following the meet, they will be celebrating their four 2024 seniors: Madeline Gose, Steele King, Emily Six and Daisy Woodring. This will mark the final home meet in KMA of 2024 season.

HOME SWEET HOME
  • LAST MEET: The Pioneers have been on the road for the last two meets. They traveled to the Purple and Gold Podium Challenge in Baton Rouge, La. and scored a 194.725 against LSU, Auburn and George Washington on Friday, March 8. Then, on Sunday, March 10, they competed at the NC State Quad Meet against NC State, Penn State and Penn. TWU scored a 194.575 at the meet.
  • MIC AWARDS: Last week, the Pioneers celebrated the MIC Newcomer of the Week, Kaitlyn Hoiland, and the MIC Performance of the Week by Brooke Ferrari. On Sunday, March 10 at the NC State Quad Meet, Ferrari scored a 9.925 on the bars, which was a career high mark for Ferrari and also tied the TWU individual program record on bars. With the 9.925, Ferrari tied for the event title at NC State. After scoring high in vault and bars and debuting on beam, Kaitlyn Hoiland was named the MIC Newcomer of the Week. Hoiland, who transferred to TWU this season, has been a mainstay as the anchor on vault and bars. At the Purple and Gold Podium Challenge on March 8, 2024, Hoiland scored a 9.775 on vault and a 9.850 on bars – the 9.850 tied for ninth at the meet. Then, on Sunday, March 10 at the NC State Quad Meet, Hoiland scored a 9.725 on vault and a 9.850 on bars, which tied for seventh. At NC State, Hoiland also debuted for the first time in her career on beam and scored a 9.725.
  • HOME SWEET KMA: TWU has been great at home this season, scoring their season high and second highest score in program history in KMA on Sunday, March 3 of a 196.275. The Pioneers will look to record a strong performance on Senior Night.
