DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (April 14, 2024) – The Pioneer Pride Dance Team is returning home to Denton with some hardware, after some fantastic performances at Daytona Beach.

During the 2024 National Dance Alliance (NDA) College Nationals, the Pioneers competed in two events: Division II pom and spirit rally. After competing in preliminaries, the Pioneers advanced to the finals in both categories.

In the Spirit Rally category, the Pioneers placed third. They scored a 91.275 to claim the third place trophy.

Then, in the Pom category, TWU danced their way to a 91.6571 and finished fourth.  

 "We are so proud of this team, and their resilience throughout the season," TWU Head Coach Marisa Martin said. "Each year, we continue to elevate in work ethic, mentality and physicality, and this does not go unnoticed by others. In just two years, we have improved leaps and bounds. We are proud of how our program has represented our university at the National Dance Alliance Collegiate Championship!"

The Pioneers concluded a great season in 2024 at the NDA College Nationals!
