LUBBOCK, Texas (Oct. 30, 2025) –  The Texas Woman's volleyball team is back on the road this weekend for another pair of Lone Star Conference match-ups, heading west to face Lubbock Christian and Midwestern State.

The Pioneers (15-7, 8-3) will open the trip against LCU (19-5, 11-1) on Friday, Oct. 31 at 6 p.m. inside the Rip Griffin Center, followed by a Saturday evening match-up at MSU (14-7, 7-5) on Nov. 1 at 5:30 p.m. in Wichita Falls, Texas.

TWU enters the weekend on a three match win streak after sweeping Angelo State, UT Permian Basin, and Texas A&M International in back-to-back-to-back home contests. The Pioneers have found a rhythm behind consistent serving, balanced attacking and a defense that has held opponents to just a .136 hitting percentage over the season, which ranks second in the LSC.

Friday's contest will test TWU against an LCU squad near the top of the conference standings in offensive efficiency, while Saturday's match at Midwestern State presents another strong hitting team with multiple front-row scoring threats. With postseason positioning tightening, the Pioneers aim to carry their momentum on the road and strengthen their place in the LSC standings.

MONSTER MATCH-UPS AHEAD
  • A LOOK AT THE LADY CHAPS: LCU has been a frighteningly efficient offense all season, averaging 13.9 kills per set while hitting .222 as a team. Outside hitter Emilee Sikora continues to haunt opposing defenses with 272 kills (3.24 per set) and a .224 hitting percentage, while Lily Bickley adds 2.97 kills per set on a sharp .340 clip. Setter Camdyn Sears keeps the Lady Chaps' 6–2 system moving like magic, averaging 10.40 assists per set to keep hitters in rhythm. Defensively, Ramsey Clark and Olivia Elofsson anchor a sturdy back row, combining for nearly 400 digs this season. LCU's defense has been equally spooky-holding opponents to just .156 hitting while averaging 18.7 digs per set. With a lineup this balanced, the Pioneers will need to bring their own Halloween tricks and defensive treats to slow down LCU's quick attack and keep the energy high in a tough road environment. With one more match played, the Lady Chaps currently rank first in the LSC standings.
  • A LOOK AT THE MUSTANGS: MSU enters the weekend with a lineup that's quietly becoming a nightmare for opponents. The Mustangs average 13.0 kills per set on .225 hitting, showing off a balanced and disciplined offense. Outside hitter Trinity Vinzant has been the team's go-to threat, averaging 3.22 kills per set while adding 35 service aces to her season total. Middle blocker Isabella Dickens has been a force at the net, posting 2.83 kills per set on .305 hitting and leading the team in total blocks. Setter Alayna Guerrero runs the show with 10.29 assists per set, keeping MSU's offense flowing smoothly. On defense, the Mustangs have proven scarily steady, averaging 18.6 digs per set and holding opponents to just .172 hitting. As Halloween weekend looms, MSU looks to conjure up another strong performance at home but the Pioneers plan to bring their own bag of tricks and keep the momentum alive on the road. With a 7-5 conference record, the Mustangs rank ninth in the LSC.
  • A LOOK AT THE PIONEERS: TWU heads into the weekend looking to keep its winning streak alive and spook its next two opponents on the road. The Pioneers are hitting .214 as a team while averaging 12.5 kills, 11.6 assists and 18.2 digs per set. Senior Myracle Stockman has been the main menace at the net, leading TWU with 187 kills (.247) and 60 total blocks. Tori Woods adds 181 kills (.251), and Sydney Garrison follows with 168 kills (.180), giving TWU a balanced attack across all rotations. Setter Kiana Reed keeps the offense bewitchingly smooth, tallying 471 assists (6.20 per set), while libero Alyssa Rojo leads the back row with 386 digs (5.08 per set) and a .954 reception percentage.
  • BOO - LOCKED AND LOADED: At the net, Myracle Stockman and Jonaida Donowa have combined for over 140 total blocks, anchoring a defense that ranks among the toughest in the LSC. Additionally, Benedite Anuman was recently named the LSC Defensive Player of the Week for her dominance at the net. With their timing, toughness and teamwork, the duo continues to haunt opposing hitters at the net. As confidence grows and momentum builds, the Pioneers look to keep their sweep streak alive and turn this Halloween weekend into another treat-filled trip before returning home next week.
