DALLAS (Nov. 12, 2025) – Following another strong season on the pitch, three members of the Texas Woman's soccer team have been recognized by the Lone Star Conference with postseason honors.

Junior defender Erica Brelove, junior forward Giselle Gutierrez and freshman midfielder Jaida Arizmendi were each honored for their outstanding play during the 2025 season.

"It was great to see three of our players awarded with All Conference recognition tonight,"Head Coach Babak Abouzar said. "All three have played valuable roles in the success of our team this season. Jaida has come in her first year of college and done an amazing job adding value to our midfield and attack. Giselle this season has reached another level in her game and has been a handful for opposing defenses to deal with. Erica has been steady guiding our backline all season disrupting the team's attacks. They'd be the first to tell you that they look at this as a team award as they couldn't have gotten this without the help and support of their teammates."

Brelove was named to the All-LSC First Team after anchoring one of the top defenses in the conference. She appeared in all 19 matches, helping the Pioneers record 12 shutouts and allow just 0.68 goals per game. Brelove also contributed offensively with two goals and two assists, showcasing her ability to create opportunities from the back line.

Gutierrez joined Brelove on the All-LSC First Team, earning her first career first-team selection. The Plano native led the Pioneers in scoring with 10 goals and five assists for 25 total points, ranking among the LSC leaders in both categories. She recorded three game-winning goals and scored in five of TWU's conference victories.

Arizmendi capped her impressive debut season by being named to both the All-LSC Third Team and the All-Freshman Team. The Dallas native started 16 matches, finishing with three goals and a team-high seven assists. She also converted a penalty kick and netted two game-winning goals, helping power TWU's balanced attack.

The trio has helped lead Texas Woman's to a 14-2-3 overall record and a 9-2-3 mark in conference play, as the Pioneers continue their climb among the LSC's top programs.

The Pioneers now turn their attention to the postseason, facing Midwestern State in the Lone Star Conference Championship semifinal Thursday night at 7:30 p.m. at Patriot Soccer Field in Dallas. TWU will look for another strong performance from their all-conference honorees as they aim to extend their postseason.
