DENTON, Texas (Nov. 25, 2025) – On November 20, the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) awarded the Presidents' Award for Academic Excellence to 43 Division II schools, which included Texas Woman's University.

The Presidents' Award for Excellence recognized Division II schools that achieved an ASR of 90% or higher.

Texas Woman's achieved an ASR of 90%, earning the award for the first time. The gymnastics program posted a perfect 100 ASR. Softball recorded a 95 ASR, and volleyball carried a 90 ASR to lead the Pioneers.

"This award is truly an institutional award as TWU's faculty are committed to student success, the university has resources in place to support any student who might need a little extra help in a class or two, and we have coaches and staff who have their fingers on the pulse of our student-athlete's academic journey as well as their athletic progress," said TWU Executive Director of Athletics Sandee Mott. "We are committed to building champions in the classroom, in competition and in our community."

This marks the 15th year the award was given. The award tracks student-athlete progress and graduation over the last six academic years.

Joining TWU on the list of awardees from the Lone Star Conference was Oklahoma Christian and UT Dallas.
