TWU RECORDS THEIR EIGHTH STRAIGHT WIN IN KMA ON SENIOR DAY

DENTON, Texas (Nov. 8, 2025) – On Senior Day in Kitty Magee Arena, the Texas Woman's volleyball team celebrated their eighth straight win at home.

Not only did they celebrate the victory, the Pioneers also celebrated four seniors who made an incredible impact on the program and who will leave a transformative legacy at TWU. TWU's 2025 senior class is student manager Destini Hayes, setter Kiana Reed, outside hitter Tori Woods and right side Myracle Stockman.

TWU (18-8, 11-4) defeated Cameron (7-20, 3-11) in KMA in four sets. The Pioneers played strong across the board recording four aces, eight blocks and 74 kills off 71 assists.

With the win, TWU sits at No. 4 in the Lone Star Conference with two games remaining in the regular season. In the LSC, the Pioneers rank first in points (17.24 per set), second in lowest opponent hitting percentage (.144), second in blocks per set (2.58) and first in digs per set (19.61). In Division II, TWU ranks fifth in digs per set and in blocks per set.

KEY PLAYERS
  • On her Senior Day, Woods led the Pioneers with 20 kills and 23 digs. It marked her seventh double-double of the season and third straight match with 20 or more digs. She added two total blocks and two aces in the win.
  • Stockman also shone on Senior Day. She finished the day with 15 kills and four blocks. She hit .359 in the win.
  • Trinity Blackwood finished with 12 kills, and Benedite Anuman added 11 kills to round out the Pioneers with double-digit kills. Anuman led the Pioneers with a .450 hitting percentage.
  • Kiana Reed topped the leader board with 34 assists – her fourth match this season with 30 or more assists. She also added 16 digs to record her 12th double-double of the season. Lorena Gómez finished just shy of 30 assists with 29 on the night – her third straight match with 20 or more assists.
  • Alyssa Rojo led the Pioneers in digs with 24. She currently ranks first in the LSC in digs per set, averaging 5.67.
PIONEER POWER MOMENTS
  • In the first set, TWU distanced themselves from the Aggies. After a point by Cameron to make it 6-4, the Pioneers mounted a 6-0 run with two blocks by the Pioneers to take the 12-4 lead. A kill by Stockman would put TWU ahead by two, 23-17. To close the set, the Pioneers answered a 5-1 run by the Aggies with a kill by Stockman to win set one, 25-22.
  • Jonaida Donowa got the scoring going in set two, igniting an opening 3-0 run for TWU. The rest of the set would be back-and-forth. With the score tied at 13, Cameron scored three straight and would lead for the remainder of the set. TWU would close with three straight points to draw within two, but they were unable to overcome the deficit, as they fell in set two, 25-22.
  • After falling behind early in set three, 7-4, TWU battled their way back and a kill by Woods would tie it at 10. Cameron would answer with a 7-1 run to take an 18-13 lead. Nevertheless, the Pioneers held strong and found their response. A kill by Stockman followed by a kill by Gracie Erichsen ignited a 6-1 run to tie the set at 19.
  • TWU would take the lead, 23-22, after a kill by Woods and an attack error by Cameron. A kill by Stockman would bring up the Pioneers first set point, but the Aggies would tie it at 24. TWU would have the final say, as Anuman would connect on two straight kills to end the set for the Pioneers, 26-24.
  • In the fourth set, TWU trailed for much of the set, but they never backed down. They kept locked in on their side of the net. A kill by Blackwood would ignite a 3-0 run, as TWU would tie it up at 17. The score would be tied six more times throughout the course of the set. The last tie would come at 24. A bad set by the Aggies would give TWU the match point opportunity, and a kill by Anuman would bring the match win for the Pioneers, 26-24.

TWU will close out the regular season the road. They will meet UT Tyler on Nov. 14 at 6 p.m. and UT Dallas on Nov. 15 at 2 p.m.
