Box Score DENTON, Texas (Sept. 18, 2025) – To start the conference challenge in Kitty Magee Arena, the Texas Woman's volleyball team fell in four sets to St. Mary's.
TWU (6-4) dropped the first two sets to StMU (3-6), before the Pioneers bounced back to win set three, but, ultimately, fell in four sets.

Kiana Reed recorded 22 total assists to officially eclipse 1,5000 career assists.

IMPACT MOMENTS
- On the match, the Pioneers hit .174, and the Rattlers hit .223. TWU gave up 11 aces and eight blocks.
- Set one was close throughout, as the score was tied 14 times. Late in the set, a kill by Woods tied it up at 19 each. Then, StMU scored four straight to take a 23-19 lead. TWU would draw within two points, 23-21. Nevertheless, the Rattlers closed the set with back-to-back points to win set one, 25-21.
- In set two, the Pioneers struggled to extinguish the momentum of the Rattlers. TWU would post 10 kills in set two, but only hit .100, as they fell in set two 25-13.
- TWU reclaimed the energy in set three. After a block by Jonaida Donowa and Trinity Blackwood, the Pioneers took an early 7-4 lead. StMU would score six unanswered points; nevertheless, TWU stayed connected and went on a 4-0 scoring to tie the set up at 18.
- To close set three, the Pioneers scored four straight points, which was ignited by two kills from Stockman. Then, a kill by Garrison brought up set point, and an ace by Rojo claimed the set for TWU, 25-22.
- In set four, the Rattlers jumped out to an early 6-1 lead. TWU would continue to battle back, but they could not get the equalizer. After a kill by Garrison, the Pioneers drew within two, 22-20. Then, StMU closed the match with a 3-0 run to claim the set win, 25-20, and the match win 3-1.

The Pioneers will close out the conference challenge on Saturday, Sept. 20 at 1 p.m. against Dallas Baptist in Kitty Magee Arena.
