FORT WORTH, Texas (Feb. 8, 2026) – On Sunday afternoon in Fort Worth, the Texas Woman's gymnastics team returned to the 195 team score column at the Metroplex Challenge.
TWU posted a 195.025 at the meet to record their third highest score of the season.
The Pioneers started off the afternoon on floor with a season high 49.175.
Sophie Hernandez and
Kyleigh Ghanbari led the Pioneers with a pair of 9.875s to match their scores from last meet. The anchor,
Sophia Isbell, continued her season streak of 9.800s or higher in every meet this season with a 9.850 for TWU. In the second spot,
Bailey Bourgeois matched her career high with a 9.825.
Kami Zarlengo opened the meet with a 9.750, and
Sofia Steffan matched her career high with a 9.700.
On vault in the second rotation, the Pioneers continued their strong day with a 48.925 – their second highest vault score of the season. As the anchor, Isbell scored a 9.850, which marked a season high and matched her career high.
Maddy Murphy shone brightly with a season high and her highest score on vault as a Pioneer with a 9.800. Ghanbari brought her momentum over from floor to record a career high 9.775 for the Pioneers.
Alaina Reid also scored a 9.775 to open the rotation – her second highest vault score of the season.
Jordan Loock additionally scored her second highest score of the season, as she rounded out the top five counting scores for TWU.
Following vault, the Pioneers rotated over to the uneven bars, where they scored a 48.750. In the lead-off spot, Bourgeois scored a season high and matched her career high to tie for fourth in the event with a 9.875.
Brooke Ferrari, in the fifth spot, posted her second highest score of the season with a 9.825. Zarlengo and Reid both scored 9.750s to round out the top scores for TWU.
In the final rotation of the afternoon, the Pioneers closed on beam with a 48.175. Hernandez opened the rotation with the top TWU score of a 9.750.
Caroline Bowns and Isbell both finished with 9.725s, and Ghanbari posted a career high in her second career appearance on beam with a 9.700.

Oklahoma claimed the win in the quad meet with a 198.175. Arkansas finished second with 197.700, while Arizona edged the Pioneers with a 195.825.
