NORMAN, OKLA. (March 9, 2026) - Texas Woman's gymnastics posted a 195.025 team score Sunday afternoon against No. 1 Oklahoma Sooners women's gymnastics, who recorded a 198.175 victory inside Lloyd Noble Center.
Competing in front of a big crowd, the Pioneers delivered several strong individual performances, highlighted by a season-high on bars from Caroline Bowns and consistent scoring from Sophia Isbell across multiple events.
TWU opened the meet on uneven bars, posting their highest team score of the afternoon with a 49.175. Caroline Bowns led the rotation with a season-high 9.875, while Brooke Ferrari added a 9.850. Jordan Loock and Alaina Reid each recorded 9.825, and Kami Zarlengo contributed a 9.800 to give the Pioneers a strong start.
On vault, TWU totaled 48.925. Sophia Isbell led the team with a 9.850, followed by Kyleigh Ghanbari with a 9.825. Juliaunna Baker continued her steady weekend with a 9.750, improving on her Friday performance, while Reid added a 9.775 and Loock posted 9.725.
The Pioneers moved to floor exercise in the third rotation, scoring 48.200. Isbell again paced TWU with a 9.800, matching Sophie Hernandez, who also earned a 9.800. Kami Zarlengo added a 9.750, while Brooke Ferrari recorded 9.700.
TWU closed the meet on balance beam with a 48.725. Ghanbari led the team with a 9.825, while Sofia Steffan followed with a 9.775. Hernandez and Ruby Goad each posted 9.725, helping the Pioneers finish the afternoon with a solid rotation.
Isbell's performances capped another strong weekend for the junior, competing three events in both meets and recording five scores of 9.750 or higher, including four scores of 9.800 or better. She also earned top finishes earlier in the weekend against Nebraska Cornhuskers women's gymnastics, tying for first on beam and taking the event title on floor.
The Pioneers will return to action next week on Friday, March 13 at the Arizona Quad as they wrap up the regular season.
