DENTON, Texas (Sept. 14, 2026) - Texas Woman's junior goalkeeper Faith Graves has been named the Lone Star Conference Goalkeeper of the Week for Week three, earning the honor for the second time in her career. Graves became the first Pioneer to receive a weekly conference award this season.
"Faith has been a key piece to our defensive success so far this season," Head Coach Babak Abouzar said. "She takes a lot of pride in doing her job and being there for her teammates when they need her. Her performance this week was another example of the consistency and composure she brings to the goal. We're proud of the way she continues to compete and contribute to this team."
Graves was solid in goal against Oklahoma Christian and St. Edward's last week, recording two shutout victories. Across the two matches, she made four saves while facing 11 total shots, keeping both opponents off the scoreboard.
The two clean sheets extended Graves' streak to four consecutive shutouts. Her vocal and physical presence in goal, combined with an outstanding defensive effort in front of her, helped lead the Pioneers to their fifth and sixth victories of the season.
The Pioneers will look to continue their strong defensive play when they visit West Texas A&M on Wednesday in Canyon, Texas. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
