EDMOND, Okla. (Sept 13, 2022) – Lone Star Conference action officially begins for the Pioneers tomorrow night on the road at Oklahoma Christian.
 
Most recently, Abby Powers scored her first career goal, as the Pioneers lost 2-1 to Ouachita Baptist on Saturday, Sept. 10.
 
TWU (0-4-1) will travel to Edmond, OK to play Oklahoma Christian (2-1-2) Wednesday, Sept. 14 at 4:30 p.m.

ON THE ROAD

•  ROAD WARRIORS: The result that the Pioneers earned this season (a 1-1 tie with Regis) was on the road. Although the game was suspended, the Pioneers were also deadlocked, 0-0, with Midwestern State on the road, before the lightning delay. The Pioneers have experience this season playing well on the road, which they will look to do on Wednesday night. Against OC, the Pioneers have won all five meetings, including two on the road in Edmond.
• CAREER STATS: The two goals scored by the Pioneers so far this season have come on career firsts, from Abby Powers and Dylann Vollaro. TWU will look for some more career firsts to be set, as they try to connect on goals against the Eagles.
• RANKINGS: The match on Wednesday marks the start of preseason play for both teams. In the preseason poll, TWU was picked to finish fifth, while OC was picked to finish 10th. TWU will look to get their first win of 2022 at Eagle Soccer Field Wednesday night.
