Since last season, STMU is now under the direction of first-year head coach Valerie Huizar. The Rattlers do have 11 upperclassmen on the roster. All-time against the Rattlers, the Pioneers are 10-12, dating back to 1992.

The Pioneers will look to lock down on defense and force the Rattlers into low-percentage shots to secure the win on Thursday.
- CHECK THE SCORE: In their last two games, the Pioneers recorded multiple 20-point quarters of scoring, which led to high-production offensive games. Against UAFS, TWU scored 20-plus points in three quarters. Against OC, the Pioneers recorded two 20-plus quarters. TWU, in their scoring, was also efficient. They shot 50.9% from the field against UAFS and 48.9% against OC. In the game against UAFS, TWU was led by Sadie Moyer with 24 points on 50% shooting from the field. On Saturday against OC, Ashley Ingram led the Pioneers with 22 points on 5-9 from the field. Look for the Pioneers to click on offense, as they have multiple strong offensive threats.
