TWU BASKETBALL RELEASES 2024-25 REGULAR SEASON SCHEDULE

DENTON, Texas (Sept. 17, 2024) – After closing the 2023-24 season at the Division II NCAA National Championship, the Texas Woman's basketball team prepares to run it back and make more history in the 2024-25 season.

"Last year was an incredible season, and we returned every player from our 2023-24 roster," TWU Head Coach Beth Jillson said. "This is a new year. We have experience, talent and a hunger to be the best we can possibly be. With all our returners and the addition of Gabby Elliot, we look forward to bringing our best on and off the court for the entirety of the season. We loved the way the community came out in waves to support us last season, and we look forward to having all of Pioneer nation back in KMA cheering us on for another incredible year."

The Pioneers will come full circle and start their regular season right where they ended their 2023-24 season – back in St. Joseph, Mo. in the Civic Arena. TWU will meet Missouri Southern State and Northwest Missouri State in the 2024 DII CCA Tip-Off Classic on Nov. 2-3 to start off their regular season campaign.

TWU will then travel to Denver, Colo. for the Conference Crossover hosted by MSU Denver. The Pioneers will meet the host on Nov. 8 and Western Colorado on Nov. 10.

On Nov. 15, TWU will continue their non-conference slate on the road at Southern Nazarene, who closed last season ranked at No. 11.

The Pioneers will play their home opener against a familiar regional opponent, Colorado School of Mines on Nov. 20. Last season, TWU defeated Colorado School of Mines in the opening round of the NCAA South Central Regional Tournament.

On Nov. 23, the Pioneers will open Lone Star Conference action against UT Tyler on the road.

TWU will return home for their final non-conference contest of the regular season on Nov. 27, when they will face Central Oklahoma.

LSC action will continue with a pair of home contests in Kitty Magee Arena on Dec. 4 and 6, when TWU will meet Midwestern State and Lubbock Christian.

From Dec. 17 to Jan. 5, the Pioneers will be on the road for four LSC games. On Dec. 17, they will meet Western New Mexico. Then, they will travel to new LSC opponent Sul Ross State on Dec. 19.

TWU will open the New Year with contests at Cameron on Jan. 3 and Oklahoma Christian on Jan. 5.

After being on the road, the Pioneers will have a two-game home stand on Jan. 9 and 11 against St. Mary's and St. Edward's.

The Pioneers will go on the road to face Texas A&M – Kingsville on Jan. 16. Then, they will head to Laredo, Texas to meet Texas A&M International on Jan. 18.

From Jan. 23 to Feb. 1, the Pioneers will host their longest home stand of the season. The run in KMA will begin with West Texas A&M on Jan. 23. Then, TWU will face Eastern New Mexico on Jan. 25.

Oklahoma Christian will come to KMA on Jan. 30, and the Pioneers will ring in the month of February with a game against Cameron on Feb. 1. to close out their four-game home stand. 

On Feb. 6, the Pioneers will travel to Austin, Texas for their second meeting with St. Edward's of the season. Following their game at St. Edward's, they will travel to San Antonio, Texas to play St. Mary's for the second time on Feb. 8.

Texas A&M International and Texas A&M – Kingsville will come to Denton, Texas on Feb. 13 and 14.

TWU will go on their final road trip of the regular season on Feb. 20 and 22, as they will meet Angelo State and UT Permian Basin.

The final home game of the regular season will be on Feb. 27, when the Pioneers will face UT Tyler in KMA.
