Dear Basketball,

It's been a long journey. Sitting here reflecting back on everything that basketball has given me. The experiences, the people, the memories. There's nothing in my life that's been as challenging and mentally hard but also as rewarding as basketball has been. It gave me a place where I always felt like I belonged. It became my outlet and took me places in life that I thought were only going to be a dream. 

Playing this sport not only surrounded me with amazing people but it also showed me how much hard work and dedication pay off. The lessons I learned in my time of playing not only taught me so much in the moment, but they will go far beyond the game of basketball. The Lord has been so faithful throughout my journey of playing this game, through the highs and the lows. He has never left my side and truly taught me how to enjoy every moment that He places before me. 

Thank you to everyone who has been involved in my journey of basketball. My family, my coaches, my teammates, and the program and community that TWU is. Without you all, it wouldn't have been as special as it was. As I move into the next season of my life, I will remember everything that basketball was to me and what it did for me. I know that the Lord has my next step in the palm of His hand, and I can't wait to see where He takes me.
