RICHARDSON, Texas (Nov. 24, 2025) – After recording another double-double,
Gabby Elliott was named the
Lone Star Conference Defensive Player of the Week, earning a Player of the Week honor for the third straight week.
In the Pioneers win last week over Southern Nazarene,
Gabby Elliott helped hold the Crimson Storm to just 44 points, as the Pioneers defeated them by a margin of 34 points. Elliott once again averaged a double-double with 15 points on 50% from the field and 13 rebounds. She also grabbed one block in the win, and the Pioneers forced 19 turnovers. Elliott additionally went 9-of-10 from the free throw line.
Elliott currently ranks fourth in the LSC in scoring (17 per game), second in rebounding (10.6 per game), second in field goal percentage (.588) and fourth in blocks per game (2.2).
"Gabby is a proven leader on the offensive and defensive side of the ball," TWU Head Coach
Beth Jillson said. "Each game, she continues to grow and utilize her strengths to make an impact in each possession she is on the court. We are proud of her hard work and commitment."
This marks the third LSC Player of the Week honor for the Pioneers this season.
