DENTON, Texas (Nov. 26, 2025) - With the 2025 season wrapped up for the Texas Woman's soccer team, six Pioneers, including Erica Brelove, Lupita Bueno, Alyssa Striker, Bri Luna, Alexandra Hughes and Halee Avery, were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team.
The CSC recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their success both on the field and in the classroom. Brelove was also nominated to the CSC Academic All-American ballot.
Junior defender Brelove, who holds a 3.81 GPA, started all 23 matches this season and led the Pioneers with 2,006 minutes played. She finished with two goals on 12 shots, recorded the first two assists of her career and anchored a back line that helped TWU reach the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
Lupita Bueno, maintaining a 3.90 GPA, also started all matches and totaled 1,953 minutes. She added her first two career assists and recorded six shots on the year while providing consistent pressure on the Pioneer defense.
Striker, who carries a 3.88 GPA, started all contests and logged 1,463 minutes. She produced a strong offensive campaign with four goals, including a game-winner in the LSC Tournament quarterfinals, four assists and 12 total points.
Senior forward Luna, who boasts a 3.73 GPA, appeared in all matches with 21 starts and played 1,465 minutes. Luna scored four goals, including three game-winners with two coming in the postseason, added six assists to finish tied for second on the team and totaled 14 points. She also tallied 40 shots with 18 on target.
Defender Hughes, with a 3.63 GPA, started all 23 games and logged 1,997 minutes in her final season. She scored the first goal of her career against West Texas A&M and finished the season with seven shots, including two on goal.
Midfielder Halee Avery, who maintains a 3.95 GPA, played in all matches with 13 starts and totaled 1,168 minutes. Avery recorded three goals on 11 shots, added one assist and finished with seven points on the year.
