LINCOLN, Neb. (March 15, 2025) – The Texas Woman's gymnastics will look to build off their program record performance last week, as they travel to Nebraska to compete in their final regular season meet of 2025.
 
TWU will compete against Nebraska, Iowa State and Temple on Saturday at the Ameritas Master's Classic at 6:30 p.m., hosted by Nebraska.
 
Last week, the Pioneers hosted Senior Day in KMA and scored a program record 196.600. Additionally, in KMA, TWU matched their program record on bars with a 49.325. Caroline Bowns led the way in the bars lineup with a career high 9.900. Bailey Bourgeois also scored a career high with a 9.875, and Lainey Hunt posted a career high with a 9.850.
 
Three Pioneers received MIC Weekly awards after the record-breaking day. Sophia Isbell was named Gymnast of the Week, Bailey Upton received her third straight Newcomer of the Week honor and Caroline Bowns received the Performance of the Week honor.
 
Upton scored a career high 9.825 on beam and matched her career high on floor with a 9.850. She also posted a 9.775 on vault. Isbell competed on vault, beam and floor at the Pioneers meet against NC State. On vault, Isbell matched her season high with a 9.825. Then, on beam, she set a career high 9.825 and helped lead the Pioneers to a season high 49.175 on the event. Finally, on floor, she scored a strong 9.775.
 
The Pioneers have only competed against Nebraska once in program history. In 2017, they faced the Huskers in Norman, Okla. TWU has met Iowa State nine times in program history; most recently in 2024 in Logan, Utah. TWU narrowly fell to Iowa State, 195.950-195.425. The Pioneers have never competed against Temple.
 
TWU holds a season high of 196.600. Nebraska has a season high of 196.750, which they scored on the road on Feb. 9. Iowa State's posted a season high 195.825 at home against Arizona State on Jan. 31, and Temple scored a season high 195.375 on the road on Feb. 28 at North Carolina.
