ATLANTA (March 20, 2025) – On Thursday, the Texas Woman's basketball team celebrated two Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) national honors.

For the second straight season, Coach Beth Jillson was named a WBCA Coach of the Year finalist. Coach Jillson led the Pioneers to their second straight 30-plus win season. She guided the Pioneers to their third straight LSC Regular Season Title and second straight LSC Tournament Title. Coach Jillson and TWU closed the season in their second straight Sweet Sixteen appearance, recording their fewest losses in program history at two.

Additionally, for the third straight season Ashley Ingram was named a WBCA All-American. Ingram was named to the First Team All-American for the second straight season. She becomes the only Pioneer in program history to be named an All-American three years in a row.

This season, Ingram became the all-time leading scorer and rebounder in program history. She led the Pioneers with 15.7 points per game, 9.1 rebounds per game and 3.9 assists per game. She recorded one triple-double and 16 double-doubles.

She was named to the All-Lone Star Conference First Team, LSC All-Defensive Team and LSC All-Academic Team. Additionally, in the postseason, she was named the LSC Tournament Most Valuable Player and to the NCAA South Central Regional All-Tournament Team.

"It is a huge testament to the work our team puts in everyday and to my incredible coaching staff alongside me. Additionally, I am ecstatic for Ashley to be named a First Team All-American. Ashley has embodied what it means to be a TWU Pioneer, and it is so special to see her celebrated for her success."

The WBCA NCAA Division II Coach of the Year, Player of the Year and Coaches' All-America team are selected by the WBCA NCAA Division II Awards Committee from coaches and student-athletes who are nominated by WBCA member coaches.
